Delta Airlines Celebrates One Year Anniversary of Vienna to Atlanta Service

Delta airlines celebrated its first year anniversary of operating non-stop service between Vienna and Atlanta on 29 May 2008, marking the occasion with a dinner for key stakeholders and corporate clients at the Palais Clam Galls in Vienna.

Delta is the only U.S. airline to operate non-stop service between Austria and the United States with a four weekly service from Vienna, increasing to five weekly from 7 June. Delta inaugurated its Vienna to Atlanta service at the end of May 2007, with the route operating a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft seating up to 214 passengers with 36 seats in Delta’s award winning BusinessElite.

Deltas Frank Jahangir president sales and affairs Europe, Middle East and Africa, speaking at a dinner honouring 25 of Delta’s top sales accounts, commented, "We are extremely pleased with the performance of the Dublin to Atlanta flight. Over the last year, we’ve enjoyed consistently high average load factors of 80+ percent and carried over 125,000 passengers. The service is popular for both business and leisure passengers, with customers flying from Dublin having a wide choice of onward destinations throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. The most popular destinations are Orlando, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Miami and cancun, Mexico.
